Donington Park 28-29 April 2012 -- A Bit Damp!

Overall, a good weekend with a 4th Saturday and 2nd Sunday in some of the worst conditions I think we've ever raced in.
For Sundays race, conditions were so bad that two drivers came in and refused to race claiming it should be red-flagged. However, Luke was fired up and ready to go racing. He had about 5 laps under the safety car after the start and then continued to storm through the field until his front wheel bearing collapsed! Not good but carried on with no brakes and little steering to finish 2nd.

But for that he was going for his first win, maybe that will be for Silverstone, he knows the track, he's very quick there and now we've got new tyres!

My own observation is (try not to be biased) Luke really stamped his authority on the grid over the weekend with strong finishes in testing conditions. Several positive comments on his driving skills were made by other drivers, some more senior. Very nice to hear and its a difinite maturing.

We are really in with a chance of winning this championship, it will be tough though as the current champion is on slicks and modded motor but with a couple of wet races or ones that start dry and turn wet, cars are level and its down to the driving.

A good weekends racing. Bit damp, though!
